About CSSB

The Czech Society for Structural Biology was established in 2010 as a platform of mostly Czech and Slovak scientists active in the field of structural biology. CSSB supports research, conferences, teaching and other academic activities in the field of structural biology. The Society welcomes members mainly active in research of structural properties of biological molecules and systems by the means of crystallography, NMR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, electron microscopy, fluorescence methods, computational methods, biophysical methods and other.

To date our Society has 96 registered members from the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic.

Activities of CSSB comprise mainly the organization of the annual Discussions in Structural Molecular Biology, since 2018 joined with the User meeting of the Czech Infrastructure for Integrative Structural Biology. We also organize and co-organize specialized seminars, workshops, courses and other events in the field.

The Society acts as the National user group of the European infrastructure Instruct-ERIC and as a body of experts in the field for the Czech Infrastructure for Integrative Structural Biology.
