Following the cancellation of the annual conference (XVIII Discussions), the CSSB Council announces the 1st Student Conference in Structural Biology with competition to be held online on 2-3 June 2021. The expected format will be short talks (10 minutes) with abstract published online. The presenting participants will be university students (any level, including PhD students defending their theses in 2021). The best presentations will be rewarded with support of the Council of Scientific Societies (RVS). More details will follow soon.
The event XVIII Discussions in Structural Molecular Biology and 5th User Meeting of CIISB is cancelled due to the pandemic development and the government measures. We are planning an online Student Conference with competition on 2-3 June 2021.
Featuring expert speakers from Instruct Centres across Europe, the Instruct-ERIC webinar series, Structure Meets Function, highlights some of the latest developments in structural biology, demonstrating how integrative methods are enabling scientists to decipher the mechanisms that underpin health and disease.
Registration is now open for the seventh webinar in the series, which will be hosted by Instruct Centre CZ, the Czech Infrastructure for Integrative Structural Biology (CIISB), on 17 February 2021, 11:00 – 12:30 CET. The upcoming webinar will feature talks on the application of Cryo-EM, in-cell NMR spectroscopy and other structural biology methods, to better understand key aspects of protein and nucleic acid structure and functions.
Talk 1: Enterovirus genome release and delivery Speaker: Pavel Plevka
Talk 2: Sweeping RNA polymerase – role of protein HelD in bacterial transcription Speaker: Jan Dohnálek
Talk 3: Probing structures and interactions of nucleic acids in living human cells using NMR Spectroscopy Speaker: Lukáš Trantírek
We invite you to join A celebration of Instruct-ERIC: achievements, impact and expanding ambitions on 16 September 2020, 14:00 – 16:30 CEST, for a virtual event celebrating the achievements of Instruct-ERIC in the time since achieving European Research Infrastructure Consortium (ERIC) status in 2017.
Through selected talks and a panel discussion, we will look ahead to an exciting future for Instruct-ERIC and Research Infrastructures in Europe, exploring new collaborative opportunities that will enable important scientific and technological developments in the context of the successful European Research Infrastructure landscape.
