Please accept our warm invitation to a conference/workshop “Proteins for Life” which is a title of the 12th meeting of P4EU – an international pan-European informal network of specialists in protein expression, purification and characterization, structural biologists, leaders of core facilities and research centres (www.p4eu.org). The program will consist of series of lectures highlighting the most recent advances within these fields, case studies and research developments, both from our international guests and from national community, with many possibilities for open informal discussions. We are happy to inform you that “XV Discussions in Structural Molecular Biology and the 2nd User Meeting of the Czech Infrastructure for Integrative Structural Biology”, the next annual meeting of the Society will be held in Nové Hrady, March 22 – 24, 2018. It is organized by the Czech Society for Structural Biology and Czech Infrastructure for Integrative Structural Biology.

The second ELIXIR CZ annual conference will be held in Conference centre Třešť on November 15 and 17 2017.

Participants of the conference will:
– hear two plenary lectures by prominent scientists,
– become aware of services offered by ELIXIR CZ,
– be informed about selected partner infrastructures,
– learn about research undertaken within the ELIXIR CZ community.

This year the annual conference Discussions in Structural Molecular Biology in Nove Hrady is canceled because of the ongoing reconstruction of the Castle theater. The CIISB users meeting this Autumn (October most likely) will be connected with a Structural biology conference of this type. We hope that the Castle theater in Nove Hrady will be available for the 2018 conference. For the future we want to stick to the CIISB Users meeting being connected to the Discussions conference. The General assembly of the CSSB society must meet once a year. This year we want to do this at the Instruct Biennial Structural Biology Meeting 2017. This conference has a promise of a very interesting program (held in Brno). The General assembly of CSSB is planned at this conference (May 25 2017, 17:30 – 18:00). We would like to ask all members of our society to register to this conference and participate in the Assembly.
